"Some" y "any" son dos partículas muy utilizadas en inglés. Es importante recordar que "some" se utiliza en las frases afirmativas con los sustantivos contables plural (los que se pueden contar y por tanto tienen dos formas:una para el singular y otra para el plural) y los sustantivos incontables (no se pueden contar y por tanto tienen una única forma). Ej: "There were some books on the table".
Por otro lado "any" se utiliza en las frases negativas e interrogativas también con los contables plural y los incontables. Ej: "There weren't any tourists over there" o "Have you got any money?".
